ANTI-DISCRIMNIATION POLICE/COMMUNITY FORUM
Have you ever been discriminated against? Do you want to understand the process and your rights? This is an opportunity to meet representatives from CHRO's investigative and legal staff.
The Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities (CHRO) and co-sponsors Asian Pacific Affairs Commission, Greater Waterbury NAACP, Latino and Puerto Rican Affairs Commission, the African American Affairs Commission and the Permanent Commission on the Status of Women are sponsoring an informational forum on anti discrimination.
The mission of the Connecticut Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities (CHRO) is to eliminate discrimination through civil and human rights law enforcement and to establish equal opportunity and justice for all persons within the state through advocacy and education.
Discussion topics will include discrimination, protected classes, intake, police/community relations, investigation, the law and the public hearing process.
Admission is free and all are welcome. Please encourage your friends, neighbors and relatives to attend this important and informative event on Friday, November19, 2010 at the Police Activity League (PAL) 64 Division Street Waterbury, CT from 5:00- 7:00 p.m.
